2 Year Old Drowning Victim Not Expected To Survive

On July 21st, shortly before 9 p.m., LPD responded to a drowning at 32nd and Potter St.  2 year old Kayson was found unconscious in an above ground pool by his family.  LFR arrived and performed CPR for several minutes before transporting the victim to the hospital.  Kayson was eventually flown to a children’s hospital in Omaha.

According to Kayson’s GoFundMe page, he is not expected to survive.  An MRI came back showing the damage is too great and he will not be able to fight it. His family is with him and making him as comfortable as possible.  The GoFundMe page was created to help with costs while is family devotes all of their time to being by his side.
