Lincoln Police have arrested a man after offering money to a child to get close to him.

On June 10th, a 9-year-old male child reported he was riding his bicycle in an alley when he was approached by a man on a scooter, later identified as 47-year-old Edward Fox.  The child claimed Fox asked him where his favorite hiding spot was and the child told Fox it was in the bushes.  The child told police that Fox pulled money out of his wallet and offered it to the child to go into the hiding spot with him.  The child got back on his bicycle and rode away.

A neighbor’s security camera captured Fox which was released to the media and CrimeStoppers.  On June 26th, Fox turned himself in at the police station and admitted he was the person in the video. Fox was arrested for 1st degree enticement of a child.
