Board Approves Planning Director, Launches Search For Chief Administrator

The County Board has approved David Cary as the City-County Planning Director, just one day after he was approved by the City Council. Cary has been serving as an interim director for the past four and a half years.
Commissioners hired a search firm to find a new Chief Administrative Officer for Lancaster County. Kerry Egan plans to retire from the position by the end of the year. The Prothman company, of Issaquah, Washington, specializes in searches for County and City officials. They’ll be paid $19,500, plus up to $95-hundred dollars expenses.
