According to LPD forensics technician Jared Minary, a man was not home and his mother went to check the house after his security cameras went offline. She found the cameras missing and the home was ransacked with other belongings missing. Minary says as the woman was cleaning up her son’s home, an unknown man walked inside and she got a picture of him before he took off.

Minary says security video shows the vehicle to be a darker colored 2017-2019 GMC Acadia Denali. The Denali reportedly hit the young man in the area of the driver’s side headlight of the vehicle and therefor may have some damage around the driver’s headlight. A witness described the driver as a lighter skinned female in her late 30’s, with brown hair and sunglasses.

The student was taken to the hospital, but has been released.
