LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 4)–An early morning burglary Friday at a southwest Lincoln home is under investigation, after someone got inside the house and stole a car parked in the garage.

Lincoln Police were called around 5am to a home in the 2200 block of Ridge Road, where a 71-year-old man said he and his wife were sleeping and woke up to see a man in their bedroom.

Police say the victims told them the man was wearing a bandana over his face and shined a flashlight on them, demanding their cellphones and car keys.  He took off in a 2018 silver Volkswagen Passat, with the Nebraska license plate number UWR 400.

Police say the victims describe the suspect as a white man, between 35 and 45-years-old, about 5-10 in height.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000.
