Commuters Can Use Highway 2 To Access I-29 In Southwest Iowa

NEBRASKA CITY–(AP Aug. 2)—Good news for travelers heading to Kansas City using Highway 2 around Nebraska City. The Iowa Department of Transportation has restored limited travel west of the Interstate 29 interchange in southwest Iowa. The roadway has been closed due to flood damage since late May. Temporary pavement is done in damaged areas of westbound lanes to the Missouri River. Both directions of travel will use westbound lanes in a head-to-head traffic.
