Corrections Employee Arrested For Not Having Authorized Communication With Inmate

LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 19)–Nebraska Department of Corrections officials say a 37-year-old corporal at the Lincoln Corrections Center has been arrested for unauthorized communication with a prisoner.

In a news release to KFOR News, corrections officials say Erin Slater was arrested Wednesday and had been employed with the Department of Corrections since March.

She resigned effective immediately after the arrest.  Unauthorized communication with a prisoner is a Class IV felony.
