Crete Police: Lincoln Woman Hit By Train

CRETE–(KFOR June 5)–A 40-year-old Lincoln woman was hit by a train early Wednesday morning just outside the police station in Crete.
Crete Police Chief Steve Hensel told KFOR News Jessica Maxon was walking westbound on the tracks, when she was hit by the eastbound Amtrak train around 4am. but they aren’t sure why she was standing on the tracks.
Maxon was flown to Bryan West Campus, after suffering “severe” injuries.
Her condition is not known.
