CRIME STOPPERS: LPD Investigating Forgery and Trespassing Cases

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 2)–This week’s Crime Stoppers report from Lincoln Police looks at a case from last Wednesday, where officers were called to LincOne Federal Credit Union near 48th and “W”, about two forged checks of $2,300 and $2,400 to the victim’s bank account.

LPD forensics technician Becky Keller says a woman was seen on video in the drive thru at the bank to cash the checks using a stolen ID. During the investigation, it was discovered she is also believed to be responsible for an alleged forgery in Ralston, Nebraska. In total, we are looking at over $10,000 worth of transactions and attempted transactions that all trace back to this woman. The suspect was driving a gray Nissan Frontier with a black and yellow license plate that read Tire Slayer, with a No. 1 in place of the “I.”

In another case being looked at by LPD from early on September 24th, a resident in the area of 28th and U Street reported his camera inside his garage captured two individuals roaming around  about 4:30am. He called police but by the time police arrived, the individuals were gone.

The victim doesn’t know these two, and as of now doesn’t believe anything was taken from his garage. However we are curious who these two are and what they were doing inside the garage. The woman appeared to have red hair, and the man appeared to be very tall, possibly around 6’7″ or taller.
