CRIME STOPPERS: Shoplifting and Hit and Run Cases Under Investigation
LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 11)–Lincoln Police are focusing on a shoplifting case and a hit and run in the past month in this week’s Crime Stoppers report.
In the shoplifting case from Aug. 22, LPD forensics technician Becky Keller said a man in his early 20s walked into the Adam and Eve store near 44th and “O” and grabbed some adult items, before walking out without paying for them. A surveillance camera caught his vehicle on video. It’s a darker-colored sedan.
Keller said the man also had a tattoo on his left calf.
On Aug. 17, a hit and run happened in east Lincoln, where a light pole and stop sign at Sycamore and Hazelwood drives were damaged. Keller said that witnesses reported seeing a dark blue or purple 1990s model Ford Ranger with a silver truck tool box in the back and had a white male driving it with a passenger.
