Butterflies of Lincoln will be the focus at the next Garden Club of Lincoln meeting. Member Gary Bell will present “Butterfly Gardening in Lincoln” on Monday, March 14, at 7 pm at Robin Mickle Middle School. Gary’s home features an urban prairie with labels of certain plants describing which butterflies use that plant during their lifecycle.
Gary has a degree in Entomology and many years as a certified master gardener. When not busy with his own gardens, he volunteers at the Backyard Farmer Garden and recently provided over 300 plants to help the Van Dorn Park prairie garden get established.
The meeting is set for Monday March 14 at 7:00 pm at Robin Mickle Middle School, 2500 North 67th Street. The club meets in the media center accessed through door #21 on the west side.
