What: The Caregiver Education Group and Saint Paul UMC sponsor meetings for caregivers.
When: Tuesday, July 23rd at 1:30p
Where: Saint Paul UMC, 1144 M Street, Lincoln, Ne. The meetings are held in Room 155 on the mail level.
The presentation begins at 1:30pm. There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation. There is parking underneath the church. You enter off 11th Street (between N & M Streets) right after the alley. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are pleased that Jolee Urbanovsky from Bridge to Better Living, who is one of our members of the Lincoln Caregiver Education Group, will be bringing yummy treats to the meeting each month.
The presentation for July 23rd, Dealing With Stressors and Guilt of Caregiving, will be given by Julie Masters, PHD, Professor and Chair, UNO Department of Gerontology. Julie has walked the caregiver journey caring for her father so can speak from personal experience. As you can tell from the information following her name she is a knowledgeable person plus add to that a caring person with down to earth values so she will speak from the heart. She will provide invaluable information not only for family caregivers but also for family members, pastors/church members, friends and neighbors as well as professional care providers. You definitely won’t want to miss her presentation. As always, there will be time for sharing following the presentation.
