The Caregiver Education Group sponsors meetings for caregivers held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm CT. The meetings are being held at Walt Library, 6701 South 14th Street here in Lincoln, this January, February, March, April and May. The rooms are very accessible, and parking is available. The June and July meetings will be held at Eastmont Living, 6315 O Street, Lincoln. The presentation begins at 1:30pm CT. There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meetings are free and you do NOT need to register.
The presentation for March 28th entitled In-home Services for Caregivers & Seniors will be given by three of our Group members – Jeannine Bryant, Changing Spaces SRS, Bree Henry, Center Well Home Health, and Jan Gray, Health at Home Consultants. They will be sharing from their expertise and experience about the services that are available and tips to assist being able to remain living comfortably and safely in your own home. We will bring folders of resource information provided by the members of the Group to be distributed. We will have updated brochures. The presentation and the folder of resources provide invaluable information not only for family caregivers but also for family members, pastors/church members, friends and neighbors as well as professional care providers.
We will have a sheet with questions prepared by our Caregiver Ed Group members available when you sign in which will be helpful to determine more closely the services their companies provide.
Plus because of the interest expressed at our meeting last month Mollie George is bringing more brochures about the Messiah Respite Project and will give a brief overview of the Project.
Upcoming presentations:
April 25th – Peace and Comfort of Music
Eastridge Hospice Singers
May 23rd Dementia
Gayleen Bradley
