The Caregiver Education Group sponsors meetings for caregivers held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm CT except for December. The meeting that month will be held on the second Tuesday at 1:30pm CT to avoid the holidays. The meetings are held at the Aldersgate UMC, 84th and South Streets here in Lincoln. There is ample parking, no steps, and a nice meeting room. The presentation begins at 1:30pmCT. There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meetings are free and you do NOT need to register.

The presentation for June 25th is entitled How Can a Pharmacist Help You Be a Caregiver? The presentations will be given by Dr. Ally Dering-Anderson, UNMC. This program will focus on how a pharmacist can help you in providing care. We will discuss drug side effects, drug regimen review, and taking care of yourself too. I have heard Dr. Ally speak before and she shares excellent information. And she is very good about answering questions. Our pharmacist is an important person in our lives

There will also be time for further discussion and for you to ask questions after the presentation. The presentation and the folder of resources we share will provide invaluable information, not only for family caregivers but also for family members, pastors/church members, friends and neighbors as well as professional care providers. I also have some new sheets about resources to distribute.
