There is ample parking, no steps, and a nice meeting room. The presentation begins at 1:30pmCT. There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meetings are free and you do NOT need to register.

The presentation for September 26th entitled “The Role of a DNR in End-of-Life Care: A Physician’s Perspective” will be given by Dr. Bob Bleicher of HoriSun Hospice. Dr. Bleicher is the Medical and Executive Director at HoriSun Hospice in Lincoln. He has practiced medicine and provided hospice medical direction in Lincoln for over thirty years. He has strong beliefs in compassionate care with attention to patients and families physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. He is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Bleicher is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. The presentation will discuss the medical details of a DNR and the benefits of hospice. There will be time for discussion and for you to ask questions after the presentation. The presentation and the folder of resources will provide invaluable information, not only for family caregivers but also for family members, pastors/church members, friends and neighbors as well as professional care providers.
