The Cortland Village Museum was almost on the chopping block – the auction block that is. But it has been saved by an outpouring of support by the local community, including a core group of volunteers and generous donations by numerous residents, businesses and organizations. A Soup Lunch and Silent Auction fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Cortland Community Center, 530 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
