The April Garden Club of Lincoln meeting will feature a lecture on hydroponic gardening by UNL Associate Professor in Horticulture, Stacy Adams. Hydroponics is the science of growing plants in water that contains all their essential nutrients. As the world meets the challenges of feeding a growing population, these types of controlled agriculture systems will play a major role. Adams currently teaches a course entitled ‘Hydroponics for Growing Populations’ and is an expert on greenhouse production systems. His other research interests include greenhouse design and management, high tunnel and cold frame setup, and floral design.
The event will be held on Monday April 11, at 7 pm at Mickle Middle School, 2500 North 67th. Enter through Door 21. Meetings are free and opened to the public.
