Lincoln, NE – The Junior League of Lincoln celebrates 100 years of community development, voluntarism, and empowering female leaders. A centennial celebration and gala open to all community members will be held on Saturday, May 21 at the Cornhusker Marriott in downtown Lincoln. Tickets range from $100-150 (VIP tickets available) and can be purchased at https://JLLGIVE.givesmart.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
The event will include dinner, drinks, dancing, raffles and games. Event check-in begins at 5:15 pm with a plated dinner served from 6:30-7:30 pm. Our keynote speaker will be Stephanie Land, author of the bestselling memoir, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive, the inspiration for the award-winning Netflix series, Maid. Stephanie will be sharing her personal story; a harrowing saga of struggling to survive and navigate poverty as a single parent. Stephanie’s courageous decision to share her story helps shine a light on similar experiences in our own community and the motivation behind why hundreds of women in Junior League commit to service.
Additionally, a private Junior League of Lincoln member reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, May 20 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Cornhusker Marriott. All JLL members, including provisional, active, active-gold, sustainer, and former members and their guests, are invited to attend and enjoy drinks and appetizers while celebrating the accomplishments of the past century.
