Saint Paul UMC Caregiver Meeting

What: Saint Paul UMC Caregiver Meeting
When: March,22nd starting at 1:30p Central Time on Zoom

This is the meeting sponsored by the Lincoln Caregiver Education Group scheduled for Saint Paul UMC but this month we are doing the meeting on Zoom. Jessie Cook with Answers4Families is being kind enough to host the meeting. Register at the link below so you may receive the information to join the meeting.

Our meeting is on March 22nd at 1:30pm – 2:30pm CST. The presentation entitled Fit in 10 will be given by Tracie Foreman with Aging Partners. Tracie will share about the ten minutes a day that is all it takes to create a lifetime of health and wellness. She will demonstrate simple and quick routines anyone can do to get stronger and healthier. I am looking forward to this since I do too much sitting and need to learn some new routines. Remember the old age – “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” Tracie has been teaching fitness for many years. I’m happy that Tracie is going to share her skills and tips about strength, flexibility, balance and even dance. I know we will benefit. The registration link is below.

If you register and find you aren’t able to attend the live event to participate/ask questions, you will be sent a link to view the recorded session.

Here is the link to register for the Zoom meeting on March 22nd . Please be sure to register as this is how you will receive the meeting connection information.

You enter off 11th Street to the left (between N & M Streets) right after the alley. You may use the elevator to go to the main floor from the garage.

Varied services offered and support for caregivers

Rather than meeting at Saint Paul UMC in May we will be viewing the next in an educational series sponsored by the Nebraska Caregiver Coalition coming up May 12th on Zoom 12:00 – 1:30pm CT. It will be a ninety minute session since there will be two presenters who will cover caregiver issues – one will focus on addressing dementia from a child’s perspective and the second will address dealing with loss and coping with fear from the older caregiver’s perspective. I will send more information and a registration link soon.

We will go back to Saint Paul UMC in June. Dr. Julie Masters will give a presentation there on June 28th.
