Hastings Man Accused of Having Child Porn Found Dead In His Home

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 4)–A  Hastings man suspected of having child pornography in Lincoln was found dead in his home on Thursday, while a warrant was being served by the Lincoln Police Department and help from the Nebraska State Patrol.

Lincoln Police went to the man’s home in Hastings and tried to serve the warrant.  State Troopers forced their way inside when there wasn’t an answer at the door.  Even when police acknowledged they were in the home, there was no answer.

According to LPD, the man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

No one else was inside the house at the time.  The investigation is being handled by the Hastings Police Department.
