HUSKER BASEBALL: Gomes Named To All-American Freshman Team

LYNCHBURG, Va.–(News Release June 10)–Nebraska pitcher Colby Gomes was one of 32 players selected as a freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Monday. Gomes, a Millard West graduate, was a first-team pick by the selection committee. The NCBWA picks two All-American teams each year. They will announce a freshman player of the year and freshman pitcher of the year on Tuesday, June 11.
