Husker Football Under the Friday Night Lights vs. Illinois

Nebraska’s High School football schedule on Sept. 20 may either take a back seat or continue on with games that night, as it was announced Wednesday by the Big Ten and Fox Sports that Nebraska’s home football game at Memorial Stadium against Illinois will be played that evening, with a 7 o’clock kickoff before a nationwide TV audience on FOX. The game would also mark Nebraska’s 400th consecutive home sellout, too. High school games across the state that weekend could likely shift to Thursday, or possibly Saturday, or even resume with the games being played on that Friday night. One game in town scheduled for the night of September 20th is Lincoln Southwest and Lincoln East at Seacrest Field.
