LINCOLN–(KFOR August 29)–Two traffic stops on Interstate 80 in west Lincoln turned up about $165,000 worth of cocaine and heroin.

Lancaster County Chief Deputy Sheriff Todd Duncan says narcotics task force officers stopped a pickup truck and an SUV Wednesday morning on I-80 at the NW 48th Street interchange on suspicion of multiple traffic violations. Officers say a search of the truck turned up nearly 7 pounds of cocaine and more than 2 pounds of heroin concealed within the rear seat.

Investigators determined that the two people in the truck and two people in the SUV were all traveling together and were involved in drug trafficking. The four, 26-year-old Veronica Brown-Sandoval, 28-year-old Alejandro Valencia, 24-year-old Preciliano Lopez-Hernandez and 44-year-old Servando Vazquez, were all traveling together and were involved in the distribution of the drugs.
