Lincoln Attorney In Jail For Theft By Deception

LINCOLN–(KFOR June 3)–A 43-year-old Lincoln attorney is in jail, accused of not paying his clients following settlements.
Police say they received information from several people that Craig Hoffman was not issuing payments to clients from insurance companies, following a lawsuit settlement or to pay medical bills.
In two cases from 2017, Hoffman allegedly received payments that totaled more than $27,000 and never paid his clients. On Friday, officers contacted Hoffman and cited and lodged him for two counts of theft by deception.
