LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 1)–A 2-year-old Lincoln boy found in a pool on July 21 passed away from his injuries late Wednesday night.  Police say an MRI this week came back and showed the boy’s injuries were too much for his body to heal from.

Police say the child was taken to Children’s Hospital in Omaha on July 21, after he nearly drowned in a backyard pool near 32nd and Potter in north Lincoln.

Adults at the home reported he had not been seen for a couple of minutes. He was found unconscious in the pool.  Lincoln Police say no citations have been issued and the investigation is ongoing.

GoFundMe page has set up by the family.
