Police were called to 32nd and Q Street Tuesday afternoon after they received reports of a man bleeding heavily from his head. When they arrived, the 62 year-old victim reported that his neighbor, 51 year-old Nolan Young, had used a wooden bat to beat him, and that he had escaped the beating by crawling from Young’s home.

Additionally, officers found a trail of blood leading from the front porch out to the front of the house. Young was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault, as well as Using a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.
