Lincoln Man Arrested For Taking Officer’s Body Cam During Saturday Fight

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 9)–Lincoln Police have made an arrest related to the large fight that broke out late Saturday night at 8th and “N” Street, after investigators identified the suspect who took an officer’s body-worn camera that was knocked off his vest.

Police contacted 23-year-old Syncere Lewis  at his home and taken to jail for theft by unlawful taking. It was later found near a trash compactor.  The officer’s gun magazine that was also knocked off during the incident was taken and has not been found.

No other arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
