Lincoln Man Cited for DUI After Crash Early Wednesday Morning

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 13)–A 57-year-old Lincoln man was injured in a single vehicle crash around 1am Wednesday at 11th and Cornhusker and later cited for DUI.

Lincoln Police Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a police officer was eastbound on Cornhusker and when he approached the intersection, he saw a car that had crashed into the traffic signal pole on the southwest corner. Evans was helped out of the smoking car and then taken to a Lincoln hospital with a suspected serious injury.

A preliminary breath test of a .094 showed Evans was intoxicated. He was cited and released for first-offense DUI and reckless driving.
