Lincoln Man Cited Twice for DUI in Two Days
LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 30)–Lincoln Police this week cited a 52-year-old man twice in as many days for DUI, along with speeding and negligent driving.
On Tuesday afternoon, police say that Gregory Davis’ truck was clocked going 77mph in a 45mph zone near Park Boulevard and Van Dorn Street, which led to a traffic stop. Based on the initial assessment, police say the officer called for a drug recognition expert for an evaluation, which led to Davis being taken into custody. It was determined he was under the influence. Davis was cited for DUI-drugs, speeding and having no license with him.
Then late Wednesday morning, police were called to a single vehicle crash after a truck hit a railroad crossing arm at SW 15th and West Van Dorn. Davis was in the truck and suffered an apparently leg injury that led to him being treated at a hospital. Further investigation revealed he was likely under the influence. Davis was cited for DUI and negligent driving.
