LPD Releases Results of ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ Traffic Enforcement
LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 6)–Lincoln Police recently completed their participation in the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” traffic safety detail, which ran on weekend nights from August 16 through Sept. 1.
During the detail, LPD officers conducted 249 traffic stops, where 156 official citations were issued and 186 warnings were given.

This project was funded by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office and allowed for more Officers to enforce impaired driving and other traffic safety laws outside their normal shift.
