Man Dies in Northeast Lincoln House Fire

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 15)–A deadly house fire late Friday night in northeast Lincoln remains under investigation.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to a home near 57th and Hartley around 11:50pm, where smoke and flames were coming from the home.
Firefighters say a 66-year-old man, now identified by Lincoln Police as William Shelburne, was killed in the fire. Investigators say Shelburne was connected to an oxygen machine, which caught on fire after smoking. About $159,000 damage was done.
Two cats were killed in the fire and another person in the home has been displaced.
