Man Sustains Multiple Gun Shot Wounds

A press release from the Lincoln Police Department was issued this morning in regards to a man shot multiple times in Lincoln.  At approximately 2:25am on 8-4-19 Lincoln Police Officers and Lincoln Fire and Rescue were sent to the area of 14th and E St on a report of a person that had been shot.  Upon arrival officers located a 30 year old male suffering from gunshot injuries. The male was transported to a local hospital and is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries. The investigation into the events leading up the shooting is continuing as Crime Scene Investigators and members of the Criminal Investigations team gather evidence and interview witnesses. At this time this appears to be a targeted assault  and there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the general public.
