WILBER–(June 25)–Electronic evidence and a police established tipline were main topics Tuesday in the 1st degree murder trial of Aubrey Trail for the November 2017 killing of Sydney Loofe of Lincoln.

A Lincoln Police investigator and an FBI agent testified how cellphone data, video surveillance and social media posts helped them track down Trail and Bailey Boswell. A tipline set up by police eventually led authorities to arrest the pair at a hotel in Branson, Missouri.

Trail was not in the Saline County courtroom, remaining in jail after cutting his throat Monday morning. Trail’s appearance will be day-to-day for the rest of the trial.
