The search for a new President of the University of Nebraska may be nearing completion. An item has been added to the Board of Regents meeting agenda for this Friday including “the potential designation of a priority candidate for the president of the University of Nebraska.”  The notice does not provide the name of the potential priority candidate.   If it occurs, however, the candidate’s name will be revealed, and they will likely hold a series of public appearances on the four N-U campuses.

The search for new leadership began last spring when President Hank Bounds announced he was leaving the position. Dr. Susan Fritz has been serving as interim president during the search.  During the additional assignment, she has also maintained her positions as Executive Vice President, Provost, and Dean Of The Graduate College.
