(KFOR NEWS September 20, 2019) The unemployment rates in Nebraska for the month of August, 2019 were released by the Nebraska Department of Labor Friday morning.

The unemployment rate in Nebraska has remained at 3.1% since July, up four tenths of a point from 2.7% in August, 2018. The city of Lincoln saw a slight decrease in unemployment from 3.0% in July to 2.9% this August. Nebraska’s rate of unemployment is well below the preliminary national rate of 3.7%.

Over one million people were employed in Nebraska this August, up by about a thousand since July. Lincoln saw an increase of nearly two thousand jobs in the same time, at just over 191,000.
