Nebraskans Love Their Liquor

Nebraska is America’s 9th drunkest state, according to a new analysis from financial news and opinion website 24/7 Wall Street.  Of metropolitan areas within the state, Lincoln residents report the highest excessive drinking rates.  More than 1 in 5 adults living in Nebraska drink excessively, more than the comparable national share of 18%.  Drinking large quantities of alcohol, over time, can negatively impact both mental and physical health, leading to anything from anxiety and depression to high blood pressure and liver disease.
