A new charge has been added to the list of offenses brought against Bailey Boswell, who is already facing first-degree murder charges in connection to the killing of 24-year-old Sydney Loofe.

KFOR News media partner 10/11 Now reports Boswell is now facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder, in addition to the murder charge and improper disposal of human remains, according to Boswell’s attorney, Todd Lancaster. The same charge was added on for Aubrey Trail, who was convicted on first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in July.

At a court hearing on Friday, a few other decisions were made by Judge Vicky Johnson, as well. It was decided that Boswell will not have to be shackled and can wear civilian clothing at her trial, which is scheduled to take place in mid-October in Saline County.

Judge Johnson is also taking a change of venue request, filed last month, under consideration. According to court documents, Boswell is requesting a change of venue for multiple reasons, including that Trail’s trial was “extensively covered” by the media, including coverage that details testimony from trial witnesses. Her defense team argues keeping the trial in Saline County would violate her right to a fair trial.
