North Lincoln Crash Wednesday Injures Two People

LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 21)–A single vehicle crash late Wednesday morning in north Lincoln remains under investigation.
Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas told KFOR News via email that rescue crews were called around 10am to scene on Interstate 80 at the 27th Street exit. A preliminary investigation shows a Kia Sol was eastbound when the driver lost control, struck the center concrete barrier, traveled across all the eastbound lanes and up the embankment, where it hit the 27th Street bridge.
The driver and passenger, both women from out of state, were taken to Bryan West Campus with serious injuries. No other details are available as of 2:30pm Wednesday.
