OMAHA–(AP Nov. 8)–Five cases of Hepatitis A have been reported in the Omaha metro area. The Douglas County Health Department confirmed the cases Friday and were reported in the past three weeks, which health officials say exposure likely happened in mid-September. Usually, Hepatitis A is transmitted through person to person contact or consuming contaminated food or water. Officials with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services are working with Douglas County officials to find the source of the exposure.
