Officer Injured During Uncle Sam Jam

At approximately 10:40pm Officers at the Uncle Sam Jam responded to a disturbance in the park.  Officers observed two individuals fighting with another 30-50 individuals gathered around.  While attempting to take one of those fighting into custody, the party resisted and kicked an officer in the groin area causing pain & discomfort.  The party, found to be 14 years of age, was referred to the County Attorneys Office for Assault on a Police Officer and Interfering with a Police Officer.  She was released to her parent.
