Parole Absconder Arrested in North Lincoln on Thursday

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 8)–Members of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force on Thursday afternoon arrested a 37-year-old man that had an active warrant and was a federal parole absconder.

Officers found Derek Spurlock getting into his vehicle at a home near 31st and Holdrege. Lincoln Police Public Information manager Erika Thomas says officers found nearly a pound of meth, half-a-pound of psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and $341 cash. More meth, cocaine and other drugs were found in his vehicle and more drugs and paraphernalia were found in a his hotel room.

Spurlock was arrested on several drug offenses.
