LINCOLN–(KFOR August 29)–An LPD school resource officer at Lincoln High came to the rescue of an 18-year-old, who overdosed on some pills at 21st and “J” streets Wednesday morning.

According to Officer Angela Sands, a 16-year-old flagged down a school employee, who then got the resource officer around 9 a.m.  Sands says the resource officer used a dose of Narcan, which helps in saving lives from overdosing, and the 18-year-old was taken to Bryan West Campus for treatment.

Sands says the student later said he took some pills, passed out and hit his head on the concrete.

The teen is expected to be fine.
