School Kids Did Right Thing When Unknown Man Approached Them Monday

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 5)–Lakeview Elementary students did the right thing Monday afternoon when a man in a white van told them to get in. The students were walking together when they were approached by the adult off school property.
They ran back to the school and told staff, who immediately contacted Lincoln Police to investigate.
In an email to parents, Lakeview Principal Kellie Joy encouraged parents and guardians to talk with their children about telling a trusted adult right away when something happens makes them feel uncomfortable.
