Second Lawsuit Filed in Nebraska Against McDonald’s Related to E. Coli Outbreak
LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 28)–Another Nebraska woman has filed a lawsuit against McDonald’s, claiming she was sickened with E.coli from their food.
Sarah Johnson of Eagle filed the lawsuit on Friday, after she claims she bought and ate a quarter-pounder burger from a McDonald’s in Waverly. A few days later, Johnson said she started to feel stomach pain and other symptoms before she went to the emergency room. The lawsuit claims a stool sample returned a positive result for E. coli and was contacted by health officials as a case in the McDonald’s outbreak, which was traced back to some onions from a California farm.
The latest data from the CDC’s investigation reveals at least 75 people are confirmed cases across 13 states, 11 of which are in Nebraska.
