LINCOLN–(KFOR July 15)–Lincoln Senator Suzanne Geist on Monday formally announced plans to seek reelection to the Nebraska Legislature representing District 25.

Geist currently serves as the Chair of the Performance Audit Committee, Vice-Chair of the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee and as a member of the Natural Resources Committee.

Legislative District 25 includes a great deal of eastern Lancaster County from southeast Lincoln and northeast through the county, including Waverly.  Geist has been knocking on doors and talking with voters about the issues facing the District.

“In my second term I will prioritize expanding business and employment opportunities, cutting taxes, while encouraging spending restraint, and working to make government more transparent, and efficient,” stated Geist.

Geist was first elected to the Legislature in 2016.
