State Softball Pairings Feature Four Lincoln Area Teams Competing

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 7)–Pairings were released Saturday for the 2023 NSAA State High School Softball Tournament, which starts Wednesday at the Smith Complex in Hastings.

Class A features three Lincoln teams with play beginning Wednesday at 11:30am, as No. 8 seed Lincoln Pius X takes on No. 1 seed Gretna. Lincoln East is the No. 4 seed and will play No. 5 seed Lincoln Southwest.

In Class B, Waverly is the No. 6 seed and plays No. 3 Elkhorn North at 2pm Wednesday.

All games are at the Smith Complex in Hastings, but the championship games are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 16 at Claussen Field at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
