Stolen Construction Tools Worth Thousands Reported in Lincoln

A company in town to fix Lincoln’s streetlights reported thousands of dollars in damage and stolen tools to police Sunday.

Lincoln Police Officer Angela Sands said the company was renting a parking lot in the 5100 block of North 48th Street and found the damage Sunday night.

“There was over ten thousand dollars in damage to the trucks from when someone pried the trucks compartments open to take the tools,” Sands said.

The work trucks were parked in the lot from January 3rd to January 6th.
