Teen Cited After Covering Up Car’s License Plates

Lincoln Police cited a 17-year-old from Crete, after an officer pulled a car over with paper taped over the license plates.

The stop was made Monday night near 21st and “K” Streets and after being pulled over, the driver and passenger switched places.

Police say the original driver dropped a debit card on the floor that didn’t have the name of either occupant. The 17-year-old was cited for driving under suspension and driving with obscure license plates.

An 18-year-old has not been charged with anything at this time.
