Three People Hurt in East Lincoln Crash

LINCOLN—(KFOR Nov. 23)—A serious crash in east Lincoln Saturday night has left one driver with life-threatening injuries.

According to Lincoln Police, rescue crews were called to 70th and “O” Street shortly after 9pm about a Dodge Charger that collided with Nissan Murano and caught on fire. Initially, an officer saw the Charger driving recklessly near 84th and “O” and took off from an attempted traffic stop.

The officer did not pursue the car due to safety concerns.

After the crash, LPD and Lincoln Fire & Rescue arrived on scene to assist in removing victims from vehicles and begin immediate life-saving measures. The driver of the Charger, a 19-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. But LPD gave an update late Saturday that indicated the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.  He’s been identified as Jayden Blake.

The occupants of the SUV, a person approximately in their 50s and a person approximately in their 70s, were taken to the hospital with what appear to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
