Waverly Man In Custody, After Holding Son While Making Suicidal Threats

WAVERLY–(KFOR August 27)– A 41-year-old man is in jail, for allegedly holding his 10-year-old son while making suicidal threats.

Around 5am Tuesday, Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Waverly, where the man was using his son as a shield when deputies would try to approach him.

The Sheriff’s Office says there was an altercation, with a deputy suffering a knee injury.  The man was eventually taken into custody without any injuries.  His son was not hurt.
